Archimedes watched Ra turn down the tea and smiled politely at his final statement before nodding his head in an understanding demeanor. He shook his head in disappointment as Lucifer jumped forward and spouted the news about Horjacc's demotion to everyone in a very childish manner. "Lucifer I do believe our clans business doesn't need to be strewn about to anyone within earshot of your mouth." Turning back to Fang, Arch glimpsed the familiar faces of Aiden and Etheral entering the clearing. He beamed at them both and listened to the questions and regards of Aiden before a black female came from the brush and tackled the Red and gold Loner. Arch cocked his head in confusion before noticing the playful attitude with which they regarded each other and decided it was merely harmless flirting. Now Arch returned his attention to Aiden's questions and chuckled to himself. "Yes i do believe father time got a little bored with having me around." Arch Raised an eyebrow in surprise at Aiden's behavior but decided it would be resolved when they chatted. Following his new pack companion Arch smiled cheerfully at the white loner whom Aiden had also invited to join them. Hopefully this meeting would be a good one.

Lucifer was disappointed with the reactions. Everyone practically ignored him. Growling in anger at the subtle remarks, he made it no quiet matter of his turning to a dark part of the clearing. when he had settled there, only his all-seeing eyes, red in the light, were visible in the clearing.

Fang followed Aiden back, and smiled in happiness when Niko joined them. She blowed on her tea, but scorched her tongue slightly still when she drank. "Niko!" she said eagerly, "Try this! It's better than you'd think!" She looked expectantly up at him with her cute green eyes.

Horjacc was pleased it hadn't gone as Lucifer had planned. Glancing at Lucifer's glaring gaze with his own triumphant one showed how pleased he was of having Lucifer's luck turn on him. Though the look almost immediately disappeared as he savored his own luck at his demotion not being blown up in his face as much as he thought it would. As Lucifer hid in the corner, he watched the happenings, waiting for something, anything, to happen.
And, strangely enough, something did. Etheral entered the clearing. She seemed excited in a way, as her gaze did not sit still. It ended up resting on Horjacc, finally, and she walked towards him, her wings aflutter. He watched her progress cautiously, and resisted the urg to turn away at her approach. "How's the evening been treating you?" His ears perked at the question, not expecting that. For a moment, he puzzled over it. Why had she simply asked that, instead of ordering him to do something? Of course, this was Etheral. Her motives and thoughts were yet to be predicted in his view.
"Well, so far it hasn't been too bad. It was more disappointing for Lucifer so far." He indicated the darkest corner, where Lucifer glared at him from. "His attempt to expose thins that are none of anyone else's business was not given the reaction he wanted." For some reason he found this humorous suddenly, and chuckled.

Aiden smiled at Niko. "I'm sure You've met Fang, the healer many times before. The tea..." Though Aiden said something ("The tea she's drinking is actually made from herbs that Archimedes finds and combines and is better for you than other drinks,..."), his mind sent Niko something else more audible. 'She is against her father, Lucifer, and would do anything to restore peace. Her mother was killed by Lucifer under the accusations of betrayal. She was alone in the pack.' His voice grew audible again. "... isn't that right Arch?" He smiled at Arch, waiting for his answer.

Niko stared down at Fang and shook his head politely all the while listening to Aiden's voice in his head. "I'm afraid I'll have to decline. Herb's don't mix well with my stomach." He gave a half hearted smile while his eye moved back to where Lucifer had been. A little shocked that the wolf was gone his eye made a quick swoop only satisfied when it landed on a pair of red ones.
"Alright he has spooky as hell down. I'll buy the fact that he killed his mate," Niko thought. And it wouldn't be like Aiden to lie to him now. Keeping the conversation going that he knew the others would be waiting for Niko turned to his brother in law. "What did you have to tell me? They said you joined the Demon Clan," he turned from Fang completely. She was a nice kid and all, but he couldn't see how Lucifer had anything to do with him. She had a reason to be pissed and he wished her all the luck, but he wasn't sticking his loner nose that deep into the clans.
"I know you Aiden. We might not have been allies in the past, but I know you and so does Featherstream. So why?"

It took Aiden a moment before he could answer. When he turned back, looking directly at Niko for the first time since the Gathering began, his face showed that Niko had hit on-target. It was probably the first time he had shown the fact, a hard feat within itself. “Niko, If you would let me tell you, then I will. But you must understand, it is a good reason. Let me finish my introductions, and if you are not satisfied of my answer by the end of the gathering, You, the clans, and my sister may shun me if you wish.” His eyes betrayed a small pleading note. Aiden did not like his own offer, but if it was nessecary to get Niko to listen, then so be it. If Niko understood, then perhaps Feather could, and he would not feel completely alone with his decision.

Light trotted in, for once visible. "Hello, people! I'm here now! Let's start the party!" Brightfang chuckled. Then she glanced around. Her ears perked up in shock as Arch came into her field of vision. "Arch!" She raced over to him (carefully avoiding his tea) and tackled him. "Where ya been?" She nipped him playfully, jumped back, then lowered her head and raised her rump, inviting him to play. "I was worried about you! Your leader wouldn't let me get you back. She's such a downer." She rolled over in the grass, jumped up, then stood, pawing at the air. "I hate it when you do something like that. First you upset the old place, disappearing into thin air, then You upset Mr. Time, disappearing again! You must have a thing for that." She chuckled.

Arch smiled at the eager young pup beside him and nodded politely as the loner Niko rejected the tea. "Not to worry. My Drinking habits aren't for everyone." He grinned at everyone and listened with interest as Niko and Aiden discussed why he had joined the Pack. Arch opened his mouth to interject an opinion of his own but was tackled by another energetic wolf. Shaking his head clear He focused and saw Brightfang Bouncing about in front of him and asking him a series of rapid fire questions. Laughing he got up and shook his pelt out. "Yes it seems i do have a knack for getting myself into trouble." He grinned at the female and chuckled again. "I know you may not have liked my Alpha's decision but she knew what was best at the time and As you can see your patience was rewarded in the end. So i suppose it all worked out." He sat down and scratched absently at his ear before letting his tongue hang out playfully and sipping some more of his tea.

Niko sighed, whatever the wolf was into he knew he wasn't going to like the answer, but he'd changed. After the last Peace Gathering he'd realized that if he'd accepted Feather as his mate than he was going to have to accept all of her-including any clan buisness she was into. Aiden was a part of the package, sorta like Caliban had been in a way. And still was if the black wolf ever came around again. Niko wasn't sure if he liked the fact that he continually disapeared and usually in that darker world.
"Introdutions. Fine, but we aren't going to shun you Aiden. For better or worse. As long as you don't bring harm to your sister were fine." He wondered if Aiden caught the fact that he hadn't been a part of the deal. If anyone was going to have have something brought on them out of this it would be Aiden and himself.

Aiden smiled sadly and looked away. There was no use telling him until he finished. He had no idea what would happen when he told him, but Aiden was going to wait till he got to that point. Taking his mind off that for the moment, Aiden turned to Arch, who had just been tackled by his old friend. "Ha!" Aiden couldn't resist that. Light's joy was somewhat rubbing to him. "You come back from the other dimension,..." ("... and the first thing you do is attract Brightfang's attention? I didn't take you as a lady-man, Arch." He winked.) Once again, Aiden had dragged Niko's attention from what was being said around him and spoke about other things in his head. 'He and Brightfang met when she was just a pup. They both lived near a place called London, a human city. He was taken away by them, leaving her behind, and found himself dumped a few years later here. He was taken in by the demon pack, and believes their kindness can be duplicated, and eventually grown larger. It has begun to get to Horjacc, though he cannot see it himself, let alone admit it.' Speaking and narrating at the same time proved to be slightly complicated, but Aiden could handle it. He needed to do so, just to get the facts out to help his case. He had one more to call over. Glancing up toward Horjacc, he watched Etheral while others replied to him.

She almost replied when she heard Aiden direct that last sentance at Archimedes. Light was not fond of the interruption, and almost expressed her annoyance, had it not been for Aiden's teasing manner. She smirked. Getting up, she shoved into Aiden, speaking almost in a cat-like voice. "Hmm, funny, Aiden." She sighed in a casual way. "I was going to say the same about you." Chuckling, she jumped away, then rolled around in front of Arch. "Anyway, I was actually not patient at all. In fact, I was the opposite. This has been the longest span of time i have had the displeasure to come accross. In fact I..." As she spoke these last few words to Arch, her voice got quieter. But then she stopped, shaking her head. "But that's nonsense, of course, seeing as you're back. And at a good time... well for your clan, it seems." She sniffed Aiden, who, dispite only recently being accepted back into clan life, had already smelled like a Demon pack wolf because of previous reasons. "I don't know, though. This one seems a bit on the nice side. Don't let the others change him, just like you should keep yourself the way you are." Then she looked down to the innocent-looking Fang. In a more stern voice, she said, "And keep her pure! Only the stars know what she'll be like when she gets older."

Niko nodded. This new trick of talking to people in thier heads seemed to be spreading amongst the wolves. Turning his head to the side he thought to give it a try. Hell if he was like Kestrel than maybe he could hear Niko to. "Okay," he thought. Shaking his head Niko tried to make it look like he was engrossed in the conversations around him. Not Aiden.
[colo=Teal]"A bunch of pansy demon members if you ask me,"[/color] he snorted, "If it wasn't for Freya I wouldn't give those guys a chance." He wasn't trying to pick a fight necessarily, he was just letting words run through his mouth. He barely knew what he was saying, his focus on Aiden instead of the others.

He chuckled at Light's reply, and almost missed Niko's reply. "Niko." He hadn't taken his eyes off Etheral yet. "There's one more wolf you need to meet." His ear twitched. "Etheral! Come here! i would like you to meet someone."

When he got no reply from Etheral, he sighed. "You don't seem happy. I suppose it's-" Horjacc was cut off when Aiden called Etheral. He sighed again. "You'd better go. Your mate is calling you." He purposely let the 'mate' part slip. Then he turned away and pretended to ignore her. He had actually come to respect Etheral, but would not be the first to admit it. He didn't have the best mood, despite the backfire of Lucifer's news.

The female cat-wolf frowned, her tail twitching irritably as her eyes darted over to Lucifer. She contemplating exerting an amount of her new-found stature on him. To flaunt about Horjacc's fall from Beta wasn't nessisarily a bad thing -in pack grounds-, however, outside of pack grounds, and flaunting it to outsiders, was an insult to their pack. Yes, she'd definitely have a little chat with the warrior soon; especially since Freya seemed to have disappeared on another one of her outings, therefore the chore would fall -by default- to her. A part of her prickled in anticipation, eager to speak and be listened to; another part was rankled in annoyance towards the warrior.
Her thoughts had strayed so far that she had neglected to take Horjacc into account; a fact she felt a pang of guilt over. A jolt in her heart at the sound of her name caused her attention to once again be drawn away. ”You'd better go. Your mate is calling you.” The words didn't anger her. In fact, she gained a small shiver of internal pleasure to hear it. The tone, however, rankled her. She had the distinct feeling that he was sneering at her, despite how hidden it was. On the verge of giving a terse apology for her leave, she decided against it, and held her tongue while the male turned her back on her. Whatever, Horjacc could be in a pout. Her heart beat quickened with anticipation as she made her way over to the group.
Trotting over to the group, Etheral sat contentedly next to Aiden. ”You called?” She asked in a sing-song voice. It was amazing how fast one's mood could change with circumstances. Her tail twitched energetically, and her velvety wings fluttered the lightest bit. Mind turning over Aiden's previous words, her icy blue eyes turned on the white wolf with one eye, curiosity warring in her gaze. She recognized the wolf, yes, though she hadn't really taken the time to learn his name. He smelled of loner, though, which intruiged her. Aiden had been a loner; she wondered what this one would be like.

Aiden smiled at Etheral. "Indeed I did. Etheral," he said, "This is Niko. He's a Good friend of mine." He turned to Niko. "Niko. I would like you to meet Etheral. My" -he braced himself for Niko's reply- "mate." He looked at Etheral, smiling, dispite his misgivings about telling Niko.

Niko was shocked at Horjacc's words. He looked at Aiden for conformation and thankfully didn't have to wait long, although he wished he was hearing something else. As soon as he thought that he shook his head chuckling slightly as they were introduced. What right did he have to say against it?
"It makes complete sense now. You wouldn't be the first one to compromise themselves for a female." Here he was a proclaimed clan hater and loner secretely mated to one himself. Turning to the female he gave her a cold eye, "It's a pleasure to met you, but for your sake I hope you're not like the others." Aiden's instinct was good enough, but even phermones could mess with a male's sense. She looked alright, different, but then they all were in some way. He'd keep his guard up around her, but for now he'd leave her be. Best to keep Aiden an ally than an enemy.
Deciding on that Niko changed quick enough, "Aiden and I go way back. We used to be in a clan together, but that's a different story. Aiden have you seen your sister around?" He wanted a change of subject before Etheral could completely pick up on his slight hositility.

’When doesn’t it?’ ‘Ah, well, I’ve still a bit of catching up to do, but you have a point.’ He thought back, leaning down to help accommodate as she climbed off him. Straightening back up, Ra turned his attention to her, finding hers caught elsewhere momentarily. Towards Niko and the swarm of demons that surrounded him, as he followed where her gaze was focused. ‘I don’t like it either, but Niko’s capable of behaving himself, if he chooses to do so.’ He added while offering her an assuring smile, responding to her nips with a light lick to the side of her muzzle. She made it worth coming back.
”Break any hearts lately?” Ra appeared bemused for a moment, perhaps from switching back and forth between verbal and non, or maybe the wondering to the meaning behind the question. Whichever it was, it took him a second to register, shaking his head and releasing a low laugh. “No, not that I know of. The three of us managed to work it out,” The loner paused, stretching out to sink softly into the sand on his stomach. “Me, myself and I.” He smiled wryly at his joke, no matter how somewhat true it was. He couldn’t break anything that wasn’t there to begin with; he rarely saw much of anyone anymore, other than these meetings. Besides, he wasn’t the type to do so, at least not to his knowledge, not purposely. The only one he could possibly think of, was many, many moons ago, back in the sands of his homeland, but that didn’t fall under the category of lately.
He raised an eyebrow, noticing Kestrel had gone silent as well. Fighting the amused expression tugging at a corner of his mouth, he awaited her return to reality patiently, keeping an eye on the corner of chatting wolves. Kestrel voice entered his mind once again to which he answered. ‘I’m afraid nothing of much importance or interest. I’m quite boring.’

Aiden's shock reach his face involuntarily. His head snapped toward Niko, ears up. Hiding his surprise again with difficulty, Aiden let his prickling fur lay flat. He should still probably guard himself against Niko, but not as much. Niko wasn't the type to just accept any demon off the bat. Heck, not even he himself would do so. He would have to watch for anything, but for now, as long as Niko was still on his side, he was relieved. He knew Niko was a worthy opponent and would not like to fight Niko any more than Niko would like to fight him. "Um... actually, I have not seen her since the last time I was here. Why? Is anything wrong?"

Featherstream was far, far above the gathering. She allowed her ears to become that of the bird she could transform to. She could only catch the occasional word though, and sometimes not even that. "And... eep... pure!" "Eth....... here!" She liked watching the Gathering from the sky. She stayed high above, waiting for a moment.
