She didnt want to go, she wasnt big on tradition. Yet she was walking slowly to the place. She thought it would be a good oppotunity to find out what wolves had useful powers of not. In other words that was the only thing that made the meeting interesting for her. She was sure most wolves would want her pack gone from there, wanting them to disappear more than the loners, but she didnt care. Rasing her head, she strode into the area with her head held high, her eyes were hard and cold, daring others to challange her, to say something about her and her pack.

Using a trick from the old days Shadow materialized from a shaded spot in the center of the enclave which had held so many "peace" gatherings. Looking around he found his old spot on the rock overhang and silently padded over to lay upon the smooth surface in his usual lazy fashion. He hated being here now. Gazing upon the surrounding woods memories flooded his brain. Shutting them out he flattened his ears against his skull and swallowed the twinge in his heart.
Now his eyes passed to the Demon Alpha Freya, who was standing there with her head high as if she already ruled the world. The old custom was to bow in acknowledgment to the attending alphas but he showed no sign of doing so to this beast. Instead he grinned a leering smile and let out a small chuckle before closing his eyes and shaking his head as he laid it upon the cold stone surface.

Wondering into the clearing atop the tree tops playfully while enjoying the many colored leaves she'd only recently become acustomed, she looked down on the first two arrivals curiously before shouting down her greetings. "Hello down there! Looks like I'm not the only one who wanted an earily start!" Giggling inwardly at the run-in before looking them over a little more, she grow slightly wary of the other female since she seemed so much like the questioning stranger she'd met earilier before shaking it off to examen the male. "Now what's going on with you, Mr. Chuckles? I didn't think anything would be funny with this few wolves around... But if you've got something to break the ice do share!"

Nokida trotted into the gathering grounds her wounds healed but scars marking her in a few places she moved to her spot near the darkness of the trees and sighed her eyes closing as she waited for the rest to arrive. she never looked up to see if Shadow was there or not, she was starting to loose hope of his return.

Ra padded into the clearing; it looked as if some things didn't change. As much as unknown groups of wolves bothered him, he wanted to gather an insight on all the remaining or new others. He already knew three out of the four. He shook his head at the fourth, a female with her nose stuck up in the air, an alpha no doubt. The loner had no problem meeting her challenge, swishing his tail sharply.
"Come back to earth, princess, you certainly don't belong up there." His golden eyes rolling up towards the heavens before meeting hers with a mocking stare.

Fang looked down at the Five, watching from the high tree tops, higher than Scaletta even. Four of the five may not have been able to handle the Beast. But there was one there that could probably kill him with one stroke of her paw. She watched the Alpha with her head up high, as she took a few proud steps into the clearing. "Perfect. A good Alpha for this special occasion. The time is near, Lucifer." She knew, that from a few miles away, her master was waiting. Where he was, there was no way any could sense or smell him. She, however, was a different story. She quickley disappeared, before any would notice her.

Hearing a familiar mocking tone being called her way, she huffed when noticing her former attacker from another meeting before sticking her tougue out childishly while wisping around in her ghostly form amoung the trees. "It appears you've made yourself comfortable... How nice of you to have dressed yourself up in more lovely jewels just to meet the rest of us." Finally flowing towards the ground through the tree nearest to him, she took on her own show of dominance in face of the size difference between them while she wagged her tails round in an annoyed manner.

"Now why the heck do I feel like an old man," Niko shook his head as he came into the clearing. He hadn't been here in a long while. Not since the old clans and seeing the younger ones it was obvious to him now that he was truely in his prime. Maybe not old and still worth his weight, but he wasn't a young buck either.
Nodding to Ra Niko walked over to the new alpha who seemed to fill in the missing place of Luna. Well well well, she seemed a little over the top as well. Narrowing his eyes he caught her scent and recognized her. Freya, he'd met her with Horjacc a while back. "Is it just protocol or do all the alphas come up looking like they've sat on a vertical stick?" Niko was to her left and asked loud enough to be heard. To his right was Nokida and he didn't forget to give her a nod as well. It was good to see that there were still survivors.

Featherstream stepped towards the gathering, but stopped, not feeling very social today. How would the others react to her abandoning the Clans before they had even been destroyed? She didn't know. And would any of these wolves be survivors? She shook her head, telling herself not to be upset if there weren't. Her feathers felt as if they were about to grow, but when she tried to spread her wings, she felt nothing but moving fur. she sighed. she hadn't flown since that gathering, afraid that if she had, she would try and run from her problems again.
Thinking about this, she gathered her strength and took a step into the shadows of the clearing, only to feel herself lose that strength. Her eyes widened in amazement. It was him. The wolf she had been waiting for. 'Niko... he's alive... Niko... Niko...' Her feet took her towards him. 'He's alive... Niko...' Feather found herself in front of Niko, Looking up at him, a mixture of feeling jumbling her thoughts. Anger that none had given her word about him, frustration at herself for doubting him, fear that he had died, sadness that she had felt so heartbroken without him there, and the knowledge that she felt that she had had to see him. "Niko... you're... back...." She gave him a look that showed how sad she felt. "I-... I've been waiting for you." Though she was confused of her feelings at that moment, nothing could hide the truth of those words.[/color]

CyKlone had heard of this so called "peace gathering" through the grapevine. Some sort of old-timey custom? He had figured it was a great way to get to know the wolves, the packs, the area... So here he was, standing at the edge of the small territory, willing himself to go in. Eh, he'd go next meeting... ...No! He stomped his paw into the ground, dragging himself forward. He would not put this off. He flicked his tail, entering the clearing. Six already. He put on his best "friendly" face and stepped forward, further into the clearing so that he was finally noticeable. 'Hello!' He greeted one and all, 'I am CyKlone.' He was certain he looked silly, and ducked his head a bit.

She glared at the other wolves, that was until Nokida walked into the clearing. She walked over to her, sitting down in the shade. She turned to look at the 2 wolves that seemed to have spoken to head about having her head held high. She sent a growl out in their direction. She then turned back to Nokida, deciding to ignore the 2 lone males that tried to stir her, she'd deal with them later. "You seem to like shade a lot, dear one," she spoke softly, using the nickname she gave the female wolf.

Looking around the clearing Shadow was surprised by the number of faces he recognized. Apparently many more had survived than he had originally thought. His heart leaped into his throat as a wolf who's appearance filled him with joy, fear, and sadness entered through the trees. "Nok-?" his voice caught in his throat as she lay below him without even so much as an upward glance. Had she given up looking for him there? or had she noticed him and was simply ignoring his presence?
He smirked as Freya sent her warning growl to himself and Niko, who had made a rather amusing joke about Freya's uptight posture. Watching her move closer to Nokida He couldn't help rise to a low crouch and tense in defense of her. Hearing the demon address her he was certain she had already started attempting to persuade her to those power hungry ways. Grinning the way he used to, he decided humor would be the best approach. "Oh she likes shade alright. Or at least it's what she used to tell me." Leaping down on the opposite side of Noki he grinned slyly and gave a small chuckle.

Nokida nodded to Freya before she yelped and jumped at the site of the dark wolf beside her "sh...shadow?" she asked her voice cracking as she store at him with longing eyes.

Coming in a little after Featherstream in the same direction from their clan's den, he watched as a few reunions took place amoung a number of wolves he still remembered from childhood with smiling eyes. "How great... Good luck... Feathers..." Wondering into a nice bed of leaves to relax on, he warily gave polite nods towards the leaders he could see and simply retired to watching everything silently while waiting for his own alpha to arrive.

A golden strand of eyebrow perked as Scarletta presented herself in front of him. Ra smirked, realizing his words had gotten a unintentional response from her as well as the red and yellow female. Niko had his input as well, returning the nod with a knowing smile. His shoulder rolled in a dismissive shrug to the small white wolf's comments, stepping past her to stretch himself out upon a rock.
"I couldn't resist." He replied sarcastically with a wave of his paw. "Besides, I spared you the trouble of missing my presence by attending. Don't submit to denial." Chuckling, he stretching himself out more comfortably, his eyes flashing in amusement already.

Celeste arrives seeing that wolves from different packs were chatting amongst themselves. She perks her head up and sniffs around for her own pack. No scent. She sighs and walks over to a nearby flat rock and lays down, observing each pack.
She skims over each wolf to try to distinguish each alpha. Her bright sapphire eyes locks on two alphas and another healer. She wags her tail at the reminder of her mother who was a healer before her. She frowns when she realizes that she doesn't know anyone here. She rests her head and sways her tail side to side as she patiently waits for her pack to arrive.

Fang appeared suddenly in the shadows in the trees behind and above Niko, eyeing the wolf. "Its almost time. We need more wolves here." She disappeared again.

Niko sighed when Freya just walked away. It felt like there was some bite missing and it stung, but before he could register the feeling someone was standing in front of him. Another ghost. At first he thought that it might have been her, but it wasn't, it was another female from the same time. Someone else he'd all but left behind.
The emotion in her eyes caught him off guard and made him uncomfortable. He took a slight step back from her advance staring at her with his one eye. Featherstream. In an instant he was plauged with thier talks, how she would startle when he caught her off guard with a naughty remark, and how she constantly agrivated him. After she'd warmed up she'd changed and gotten into his face plenty of times. His features softened and he was about to return the greeting when another cold thought hit him.
Still bitter about the betrayel he'd felt at the last Peace Gathering of that time Niko hardened himself. "I survived. It's nice to see you as well Featherstream." His voice was cold and polite. There was no warmth in it. Despite what he could see in her at that moment he ignored it, "If I'd known you were waiting I'd have found you. Sorry for being such a bother, but you shouldn't get attatched to loners, you never know where he might be tomorrow unlike your clans."

The cold words stung her like fifty bees. But she didn't really care. She had just needed to know how he was. She knew that Niko, being a loner, most likely may not have stayed long anyway, but that didn't stop her from standing there. She felt she needed to be there, for her own sake, if not for his. She smiled gently at him, her own eyes filling with warmth and sadness. Same old Niko, though his voice was colder towards her than before. "Niko you were never a bother. Not even when I scolded you." She nuzzled him, not caring whether or not he would pull away. "Whatever you're angry with me about, I'm just glad you're alive. That's all I've asked for." She silently walked over towards her Beta, Grizzly. She lay down, exhausted. yet, even here, where the peace should last all night, she could not fall asleep. She watched the Gathering, head on her paws.

Iceflame ran in, excited about the gathering. She skidded and nearly crashed into her healer. "Oops! Sorry Celeste!" She walked with a bounce around the clearing, then back to Celeste. "Hey Grizzly's here! Come on Let me introduce you!" Not waiting for an answer, she shot over to him, almost trampling Feather. "Oops sorry Feather! Man Healers and me don't mix well." She grinned broadly at Grizzly. "Hey long time no see Griz!"
