She had never actually been to the beach before. She had only ever watched it from afar, the water slowly drifting back and forth along the edge of the land. It had always seemed so... Majestic. So grande! It was something that seemed to finally connect the sky with the earth in one flawless motion. But it was horrible tasting stuff. And now the sand was getting everywhere. She shook her body, trying to rid herself of the sand to no avail. It was too clingy. She let the water flow up to here she stood, then felt the sand beneath her feet move out with the tide.
She strangely liked that feeling, though it was anyone's guess why. The next wave slid sand on top of her paws. She picked up her feet and moved back slightly to the right. She should probably stop standing there like an idiot, but she preferred to stay along the beach it was strangely calming, despite the flaws. In fact, the perfection of this place far outweighed any flaws there may have been here. She lay down and closed her eyes. The birds were making their strange calls. The wind was bringing her the smells from hinted places beyond the valley where she had never walked. The sound of the ocean gently flowing with the energy of the land was comforting. As she lay there, her breathing began to follow the steady ebb and flow of the water.

Feral zipped down the coast at full speed, he laughed in spite of the fact that salty air was burning his his eyes and throut. Appearently, there was something to being simple minded that made the slightest of pains seem refreshing. He had started on his run along the coast in the Crystal Territory and wondered into the Loner Territory without noticing.
He finally came to a stop when his eyes where half closed from the irritation. Never losing his good humor, Feral sat down on the sand and roughly pawed the salt from around his eyes. Once he opened them back up, he was greeted with a blurred view of the landscape. He thought he saw a figure closer to the water, but the white coat was mixed in with the surrounding sand.
Feral had to give his eyes a few more blinks before the vision became clear enough to make out. When he finally had enough clarity to see that the other figure was a wolf, he pounced to his feet and moved closer. "Say, pal... Whatcha doing in the Crystal Territory? Ya don't look familiar to me." He didn't mean to sound offensive since he gave the stranger a toothy grin and friendly wag.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: d3d3d3; width: 370px; padding-top: 30; padding-bottom: 30;]Run like there's no tomorrow Because freedom is the largest thing in life Lal heard the other coming from a mile away; after all, he wasn't being quiet, really. However, she was much more interested in the beach. It had always been here, it was strange though.to her, water shouldn't be like this; it was a weird way for water to act. Though, despite that, she loved it. She let a smirk show on her face. She wondered if her mother had ever found this place. Probably not, or Feather would have taken her here. The loner lands were larger than any of the Packs, so it was sometimes hard to find your way around here. She looked toward where the other wolf was coming from, now that he was closing in. She would have turned to confront him, however, from a mere look, she could tell he was non-hostile. Though, she, personally, refused to take any sides. She was pure loner, and nothing could change that. Not even Freya. This wolf looked like the old alpha for Crystal pack. Somewhat acted like her, too, when she wasn't being serious. But he smelled nothing like her; not his natural scent, anyway. His Pack scent was the same. His next words were very amusing, but she could tell exactly why he said them just by looking at him. everything about this wolf you could tell at a glance. He was almost like an open book.
He finally slowed and halted about five wolf-lengths from her. The poor wolf had run so far, he didn't seem to realize where he was. He also seemed to have run so fast, his eyes were now irritated due to too much sand, which had gradually flown into his eyes until he had finally halted before her in order to rub the sand away. however, the only thing that even remotely made it better were his tears sweeping the sand away. Though, to be blunt, his paws were only adding to the irritation. This wolf obviously was no medic. She sat down facing him, letting the water wash over her lower half whenever it flowed up to her. This would be a very entertaining meeting. The other wolf finally stopped rubbing his eyes in order to take in the surrounding land. He seemed to finally notice her, but his eyes were still nearly shut, squinting as he was. He didn't seem to recognize her as a wolf quite yet. So he blinked a few more times, then was finally able to make her out as a wolf. He leaped up immediately, but was obviously not intending to attack. He was much too excited as he came closer. He obviously held no authority, as well. "Say, pal... Whatcha doing in the Crystal Territory? Ya don't look familiar to me." he gave her a toothy grinn and a friendly wag. Now Lal was trying to decide if he was joking. She would play along anyway.
She stood up, her face showing great concern. Acting was something she also inherited. She looked about, pretending to be confused as to where she was. "Oh dear, truly?" Lal made her fur bristle with fake fear. "Oh! You must forgive me! I have no idea where I am, and I'm afraid I'm lost. Oh! If only someone would lead me away from this terrifying place! Oh!" She looked back at the stranger, as if realizing something. "You! you are so kind to tell me I have trespassed. Would you ever be so kind as to protect me?" She scooted even closer to him, but never touched him. "I don't know my way around, after all, and," she continued, batting her eyelashes ever so sexily, "You must be very talented at fighting if you're in a clan. I would owe you so much if you helped me away from this scary place. please be my guide? Here; I'll even stop the irritation in your..." She slowly licked his eyes, clearing the sand and healing the irritation. "Eyes..." she was extremely close to him, trying to see what would happen if she tried to charm him like this. She wouldn't even mind if she had seduced him with this maneuver.

Feral stood motionless as the female came over and licked the sand out of his eyes which, he had to admit, made them feel much better. Noticing her closeness, his toothy grin grew into a goofy one and a light blush turned his already red coat a shade darker. After hearing her plea for help, he felt a rush of masculine pride and jumped to his feet in a tall stance.
Having no idea that he was in another area or that the female was toying with him, Feral puffed out his chest with a hero's valor. "Ya got nothin' to fear! You're lookin' at the toughest warrior in the Crystal Pack. I'll get ya home in no time!" Feeling charged with a new sense of purpose, he started running around the beach at top speed as he often did when excited.
However, it only took a few moments of this to get a fresh layer of sand over his eyes. Sliding to a stop after realizing what he had done, Feral wondered back over to where his female companian was in a half blind state. Though he couldn't see very well, he kept his smile wide and his tail wagging happily when asking her for assistence. "Ya think ya can do anything 'bout this before we go?"

"Ya got nothin' to fear! You're lookin' at the toughest warrior in the Crystal Pack. I'll get ya home in no time!" She watched him take off, knowing he would come back in a moment and waited, merely turning to his direction. He ran around like the simple-minded pup that he was, then stopped and came back to where she was. Lal giggled very cutely. "You're funny. A male with a sense of humor is very... sexy." She licked his eyes clear again. "Shall we go...?" She let her scent waft over him, her tail swishing. She rubbed her head against his chest. "Well, come on, Mr, Best Warrior. Let's go. Please keep me safe!" She took a few steps in the same direction feral had just run toward, then turned and looked at him.
Lal's eyes were very bright-looking, as if she were an innocent female. "By the way, my dear strong male, my name's Lal. Does my Mystery Warrior have a name?" She smiled sweetly, sizing up his reaction. "Or I could keep calling you Mr. Mystery. I like mystery. It makes you anticipate things. Oh dear, but I'd love to know your name." She perked her ears again, as if getting another idea. "How bout you be the Gentleman and you choose for me? I'm sure something as simple as a name couldn't keep you from choosing." Lal was already tired of this, but was still highly amused with this interaction. if she had been watching this, she would be laughing her butt off by now. but seeing as she needed to keep up appearances, she batted her eyelashes ever so sweetly at him.

Bram could smell the loner lands and feel it in his paws as the ground shifted beneath him. Moving swiftly with all the grace of his father, though lacking his speed, Bram made it to his home. Putting his nose in the air the young lone wolf took a long whiff of sea air. It was the same shoreline that he'd followed so long ago to run away during the bad time, but it had brought him back. He was seasoned now, not that pup of long ago and Bram was determined not to make the same mistakes again and to make amends with someone he loved deeply. There wasn't a day that didn't go by that he didn't think of his other half. He missed her with all his heart and now he was back-back and ready to be a family again if she would have him.
The worst part would be if he was pushed away and unforgiven. Bram was determined to throw himself to sea if that was the case. He couldn't bear to live without Lal's forgiveness and acceptance once again.
Not staying on sad and disturbing thoughts for long, Bram took a deep breath as the wind blew the feather on his head. A reminder of his mother whom he missed so deeply and wished he'd had more time with her while she was alive. Walking amongst the dirt he didn't run, but listened to calming waves of the ocean and prepared himself mentally for the walk back. Calm thoughts that kept his mind cleared, but not distracted. Deep breaths that lowered anxiety and brought in tons of information.
Bram heard Lal before he saw her off in the distance. He heard her voice during his silent meditation and grinned from ear to ear. Before he could stop himself Bram ran off at full speed, his tongue lightly out and his feet digging into the smooth white sand. He ran and ran until he came close seeing a male with her and his sister right by his side. Bram was shocked as he came to a halt almost falling over.
"Lal?" Bram stared at his sister-she was older yes, but he just knew. An instinct he didn't quite know he possessed came over Bram and he stood a little straighter staring at this stranger. He reeked of pack and Bram had an inherit distrust of pack members. "Lal, whats going on?" Bram didn't hide that he was agitated and growled lowly staring the other male beside his sister down. This was not the home coming he wanted. Still in control of his power Bram kept it close and resisted the urge to send it out at this foreign abuser.

Feral was beginning to enjoy himself in the company of this easy going female. Still believing they were in the Crystal Packlands, he hoped he could convince the loner to join his pack before returning her home. Once she bushed up aganist him and let her scent reach his nostrals, his resolve to win her over increased tenfold.
Hearing her give her name, Feral wagged his tail openly with happiness over finally knowing what to call her. "Lal, huh? Well, it's certainly pretty." After she changed the subject to what he wanted to be called, he turned his head sideways and took a moment to think about it. "My name's Feral, but if ya wanna call me somethin' else then..." Suddenly bursting out of his thinking phase, he lowered himself into a playful stance and let his tongue hang out in excitement. "Just call me Mr. Mysterious Feral, if ya like."
Blissfully unaware of how silly he made himself sound, Feral's attention was drawn to the arrival of a newcomer. Noticing the male's fast approach, he jumped in front of the female with a low snarlling. Once he had stopped in front of them and started to growl, Feral didn't focus on anything else being said and allowed a few patches of his fur to smoke with light embers.

Bram saw the smoke upon the male's fur and took in the information. His power-something to deal with fire? Smoke? Bram pulled back his lips to show his teeth eying his sister only once as he kept his focus on the male he'd never seen before. Who was he? Bram wanted to lash out and felt a shudder down his spine as his power posed itself wanting to leap. Bram could almost hear the male's heart as it would pound fast causing and...
Bram shook his head and backed up two steps. He couldn't focus on this male-not like this. Straightening he stared at his sister, "Lal, how are you?" Bram noticed the way the male stood in front of his sister. It looked as if he was defending Lal from Bram. The tension fell from Brams shoulders as he felt a sudden dread fill him.
His tail drew between his legs and his ears went back showing his disturbance at this whirlwind of emotion. He wasn't prepared for this after all. Did she think he would hurt her? Did she think that she needed protection from him?
"Lal?"

"Feral? So that is what you with me to call you...?" She listened to the other thing Feral said, and giggled some more. "Oh, Mr. Mysterious Feral, please..." But she stopped talking then. Her ears perked, as she could hear another approaching. in her shocked state, however, she couldn't even put up a pretense. The other approaching was familiar to her, she knew, as the wind was blowing in her favor at that moment. But it couldn't be, could it? The figure halted , coming out behind her, and began speaking. "Lal?" there was hesitation, and in that hesitation, Lal turned only her head at first, not really believing it. It sounded like her father, yet with a gentleness added that was common of her mother. so all she did was look, not turn. "Lal, whats going on?"
Lal turned completely, not believing her eyes. It was him. It was her brother! It really was her brother. Unless... was this a dream? Lal felt dizzy and sat down, stupidly staring at him as the two males started a growling contest. The last time Bram had been seen was when their mother had died of heartbreak. Bram had blamed himself, and Lal never told a soul why she believed that to be so. She let it sink in for a moment. During that time, her brother spoke again, but she barely heard it. her shock finally left her when she noticed the way Bram began acting, and she finally shook herself. Lal?" she stood, taking a step forward. "Feral... I... I know this wolf. Let him approach... please..." Her eyes were wide, and she hesitantly walked forward, not showing any fear of her brother. "...Bram? Is... that really you, brother?" Her eyes were watery, as she was actually on the verge of tears. Bram was the only family she had left. When he wasn't with her anymore, it was very hard for her to cope. seeing him again was one of the most wonderful sites she'd ever seen. So, again she asked, "Is that really Bram?" She was close enough now to touch him. she sniffed him, uncertain.

Bram watched as his sister spoke to... Feral...and told him to let Bram through. Bram didn't have to move though as Lal closed the gap. He could see it now, the questions in her eyes weren't out of anger or disgust. His tail flipped up and his ears perked again. Staying still as to not startle her further, he could see that he had, Bram let her get close.
She'd grown, but so had he. His build was that of a near adult male wolf now and his presence mimicked his father. Lal he could see must have been a younger version of his mother. Bram could still see the question in her eyes as she asked if it was really him. He smiled light and put his forehead against hers.
"You know who I am. I've missed you so much." Bram felt tears swell to his eyes and his voice choked.

Feral stared down the other male for what seemed like hours waiting for someone to make the first move. Though he could be ignorant to many things, he knew that the look on the newcomer's face meant he want to fight. Thus, he was taken completely by surprise when the male dropped into a defensive position and addressed Lal again.
Feral wasn't sure if his behavior was due to weakness or what, but the female seemed to know him. He calmed down a little when Lal confirmed they knew each other, so he didn't fly off the handle when she moved passed him to meet the newcomer. However, the change that had occured from her easy going personality to this sober one did worry him a little bit.
After listening to their conversation for a bit, he managed to gather that they were siblings. But, beyond that, he couldn't understand why they seemed so emotional to see one another or why the brother had approached so threateningly. Though, instead of trying to question it, Feral planted his bottom in the sand and stared off in a general direction until he was needed again.

(ooc: its hard to read the navy blue. i'm going to stop doing that.)
Pulling away from his sister and their embrace, Bram turned to the male wolf that had been with Lal. He recalled his name and gave a sideways glance to his sister. Yes, they were young and Bram wouldn't lie. The thoughts of other wolves had been crossing his mind, but as a young male he didn't take them to seriously. Perhaps his sister had.
Seeing that he had disrespected the male Bram bit back the overly protective brother instinct that boiled in his veins. He couldn't help but wonder how long the two had known each other or what kind of mischief they had gotten themselves into. Staring at the newcomer Bram addressed him again in a more civil manner as was expected to be given to a male his sister had chosen.
"Feral, was it. I'm sorry for the rough intrusion, my name is Bram. I'm Lal's brother-and nothing more." Bram tried a smile.
"Although I expected him to be a little more...this ones slightly disappointing. He's nothing like dad at all," Bram thought amused as an image of his father destroying this young pup came to mind. It was true-the male across from him was less then Niko had been in Brams eyes, but who could replace a pups father?

It really was him! She couldn't believe it! "BRAM!" She pounced on him and tackled him to the ground. "I can't believe it's you! It's been so long!" She was completely overwhelmed with happiness, yet she knew she was angry that he had been gone so long, and sad that he had left in the first place. She bit his scruff, kind of how she used to. Then she jumped off of him and ran around in circles for a minute, first around bram, then around Feral. "Bram! we really need to catch up! So many things have happened! well, sort of. But seriously, you shouldn't ever have hidden from me. I was very lonesome while you were gone. What were you afraid of? Where did you..."
But she halted when she realized that Feral was still there. "Oh! Bram, I just met him today. he was... er... escorting me... to the Loner area. it seems like it wasn't far until we reached it, however." She smiled sweetly at Feral. "Thank you, oh Mysterious Feral." She batted her eyelashes sweetly at him. "You've led me to my long-lost brother!" She poked Feral's shoulder with her nose in thanks, then rubbed against him like a cat. She turned and came back to him, rubbing against him in the same way, but stopped at his head. "I'll talk to you... later, i hope?" She licked him in the ear. "I can't wait to meet you again, handsome, She whispered softly in his ear.
