Ryleigh wondered about, finally finding some trees. She could always be found in a tree somewhere, and she was starting to feel enclosed with no trees in the pack lands. Ry noticed something a little different about the smell of these trees though. The air around her was sweet smelling, not the woody scent she had expected to greet her nose. Ryleigh mad her way closer to the trees and it was then it dawned on her. These trees were fruit trees and it was why it smelled so sweet. How convenient. Now i can lay in a tree all day and not even have to come down for food. Hmmm. Do they have a pear tree around here.
Ryleigh made her way around the grove. She found apple, cherry, peach and plums. She finally came across a pear tree and let out a squeal of delight. Ryleigh slunk closer to the tree and sat at the bottom, droll falling from the corners of her mouth. She finally shimmied her way up the tree and perched on a branch, full of pears. Ryleigh pulled one off with her paw and laid down on the branch. She held the pear between her paws and took a bite, letting out a small moan at the sweet, juicy taste. Ryleigh continued to nom on pears until her belly was bulging. She then let out a contented sigh and placed head on her paws. Ryleigh closed her eyes and let the afternoon drift away.

Bram was stalking a rabbit as it moved underneath the trees. Packs could hunt large game, but a lone wolf was stuck with scrapes and small quick game. Bram walked as easy as he could making sure he didn't scare the grey rabbit. He could have used his curse, but Bram had made a point to put it in submission and using it even for this was a risk. Bram preferred to be safe rather than sorry.
Bram walked with his padded feet hearing a sound-like breathing. The rabbit heard it too and his ears perked up. Sitting on its back legs the rabbit surveyed the ground and Bram hunched holding his breath. Thinking it was safe the rabbit went right back to eating, but Bram was jumpy about his own safety. Glancing upward he looked at a tree and caught sight of a tail. Was there a wolf up there? Bram cursed his luck-the wolf was going to cost him his dinner.
Slinking forward he got ready to pounce.
