Treading carefully, Shisai walked the edge of the emerald lake in his new home. His nose twitching lightly, Shisai's enhanced senses picked up the cool scent of the Lake's water lapping at the grass, combined with the refreshing aroma of slightly damp foliage. Inhaling the mixture with a small smile, The priest crossed himself and offered a blessing over the surrounding area. His black fur shining slightly in the evening light, Shisai hummed lightly to himself while his ears pricked at the sound of the world around him. Over the dull roar of the water shifting, The sounds of rustling leaves could be distinguished. Sighing contently, Shisai pawed at some soft earth, following the scent of a wild mushroom he was looking for. He found it with his nose and prayed a silent thanks as he collected it with the other various herbs and fungi he'd been collecting over the past few days.
"My this land is bountiful. God truly has blessed it." Musing aloud to no one in particular, The priest turned at the arrival of a cool breeze. This new pack he'd been taken in by sure was different from the Legion. Sighing slightly, Shisai had to admit, he missed Azrael and the rest of his old pack. Although, it did seem they'd abandoned him in this strange land. Frowning slightly, Shisai bowed his head and offered a prayer of forgiveness and for the safety of his old pack mates, wherever they might be. Collecting his assortment of flora, Shisai moved along the lake a few more steps. Turning his head slightly, he picked up on a slight rustling movement in the brush. Raising an eyebrow, the father lowered himself onto his haunches with an easy motion and tuned his senses more to the area. The sound hadn't been anything beyond the usual, but it had caught The priest's attention.
In his experience, when something grabbed your attention it was a sign that god was trying to show you something. So it was always a good idea to pay attention. His white collar showing bright against his darker body fur, Shisai waited patiently to receive gods message for him. Somewhere in his mind he thought of his actions as silly, but he'd never been led wrong before. Perhaps the sound had been the scurrying of some small animal. Or one of his new pack mates passing by. "Is someone out there?" Shisai's nose twitched as it tried to pick up a scent. He asked god for clarity and protection. He still wasn't completely sure of his way around yet. Who knew if he may have ended up somewhere he shouldn't have. After all, the priest had not yet had time to memorize the lay of the land. "Come my child, let us enjoy one another's company." He ventured a direct approach. If someone was out there watching him, they would surely respond.
