So did I, actually, she thought, but that really make much of a difference to them if they knew now, would it? Alex snorted, smelling a new wolf. After a moment, quietly, without being loud enough to be overheard by any of the others, she whispered to him. "Care to join me? Or would you rather stay hidden in there, watching?" She made no indication that she had been the one to speak, but as she was closest, it was obvious she was the one to speak.

Tyche grinned at least she'd gotten past that. "I'm afraid you're wrong. I was a clan memeber before becoming a loner, there is a difference." Tyche sighed contently. They believed her, or so she thougt. "Does my uncle attend these meetings?" She wanted to see if there was a chance she could see him tonight. Her blood boiled at the anticipation.

He looked over to the closest wolf, hearing someone ask him if he was just gonna hide. He whispered back, "I don't know. Haven't been here in a while so I'm trying to get it through my head." He honestly didn't know.

Thumping into the meeting area as fast as he could while being short of breath because of it, he fell onto the ground with a large bang as he breathed heavily with a large grin on his face. "H-Howdy there. Pfft! I'll tell ya, it's like trying to catch the 12 o'clock meat truck back in the city when keepin' up with that girl!" Pulling his hefty body back onto its legs, he wuddled over towards a semi-center spot in the meeting while shooting a friendly welcome at everybody. "It sure is a nifty night out... Though everyone seems to be as tense as a fat cow at the Mikey D's!"

Entering in slowly from an empty corner of the gathering, he silently watched the chats between all the wolves while taking special interest in one of his generals. 'Seems like there's going to be a little bit of arguing this time around...' Sighing as he broke away from his thoughts and wondering in causcaly, he went to the side of the females fight with a gentle bow to each. "Evening Kestrel... Whose you're friend...?"

Lumbering right after the arrival of another male who chose to also join in the obvious bickering between two ladies, he huffed good-naturedly while locating the one person he'd been looking for since last time. "Charlie..." Moving towards the young girl with a stern expression, he made it a point to show his disappointment plainly while holding his silence for a moment to look over any damages. "I see you've come with a little reminder of last time... Prehaps now you'll take the advice of this old geezer a little more serious next time around, huh?" Softening up just a enough to paw at the seemingly harmed ear, he cursed his powers for the moment at not being able to heal others instead of nature just at that moment. "I thought I'd already lectured you about this before... No matter what condition, you're still alive and should be a little more careful about how you swing that health."

Wisping into the clearing at top speed with extreme joy at finally seeing some life around the area, she floated in from the tree tops to stand in her usually proud way while addressing everyone who could hear with a vain greeting. "Good to see everybody's not dead... Though you wouldn't know from how little any of you have been around! Anyway, it's good to finally have company." Prancing over towards a spot where she noticed one of her own members with a loner she sort of remembered, she wagged her tails happily while blessing them with her personal aknowlegement. "It appears you two are getting along, but you'll just have to make a little room. I'm dieing to get a little chatting after all this time alone out there."

Hearing Kestrel's comeback Shadow smirked and would've responded, but she wandered off to speak with a loner wolf named Tyche about Niko. Turning his head slightly he wondered how Niko was, They hadn't really talked much and had only met on a couple occasions but he seemed like an ok guy. Lazily watching, Shadow observed as many more wolves appeared and began grouping together into the usual social chats that occurred during these meetings. He sniffed lightly and thought he picked up the scent of a familiar wolf hiding in the shadows but he couldn't place the scent.
The fur bristled on his neck as he felt Nokida's warm breath tickle his ear and neck, telling him she loved him. Looking down at her he smiled warmly and licked her muzzle "love you too hun" he sighed contently and closed his eyes, letting his ears twist back and forth to pick up on the sounds of movement and conversation that filled the clearing. 'Maybe these meetings aren't so bad after all.' He thought quietly.

Celeste curses herself for being late to the meeting. Never has she been late before. This is not good. She strives for excellence, yet here she is slacking off. She runs at full speed to the meeting place and comes to an impressing halt when she arrives. She eyes her pack and trots over to them. "Hello. Sorry I'm late. Did I miss anything?" She glances over the land. She recognizes a few faces.

Aisu cringed as she made her way into the clearing scolding herself harshly all the way there. 'An Alpha should never be late! Was mom ever late to a meeting? No! Dad was never either! Stupid! Do you want to emberess your ancestors?!' She was always too harsh on herself and this time was no different. One could say she was depressed from her own bickering. Her eyes glanced up from the ground breifly only to take in who was there and who was not.
Iceflame, Shadow, Nokida, Kestrel, that one half-alive wolf that always gave her the creeps what was her name? Charlie, Caliban-she remembered him from her childhood the loner that acted like Niko's gaurdian. She closed her eyes for a moment and then looked around again, she noticed the bouncing purple blob enter and growled slightly.
Then she spotted Grizzly, she was happy that he made it and trusted him that if she didn't, he would take her place. The silver youth walked over to him and lay beside him resting her head on his shoulder-and she nearly dozed off. Her ears flickered this way and that catching voices and sounds but she didn't open her eyes.
"Did I miss anything?" Her voice was low hardly a whisper one might have thought she was dead if her breathing wasn't coming in harsh rasps.

"I'm afraid you're wrong." Kestrel snorted, she knew what she was wrong ad right about, and this would be one of the things she was right about. At least for her... despite the fact of being in a pack, Kestrel didn't really feel like she belonged there. Being a loner was like having your own closely knit pack, meanwhile, these more deffined, more... complicated packs were composed of many other wolves, most of whom she didn't even know. To her, being in this "pack" made her feel even more detatched from other wolves. These packs were only packs in the sense that they shared territory and were lead under an Alpha, everything else about them was not normal pack behaviour.
For one: A pack was generally composed of wolves that were actually related to each other. Two: There was only one Alpha; normally there would be two, a mating pair. Thirdly, normally only the Alphas were allowed to reproduce and mate. Fourth, packs stuck together through thick and thin. It made Kestrel's heart sink, but she knew that if it came down to it, she'd definatly protect the lives of certain loners then she would some of her pack members. Example, if it came down to Grizzly or Niko, it'd be Niko who she'd save. Example2, comes down to Featherstream or Ra, she'd pick Ra. Example3, come down to Asiu or Shadow, she'd probably have to go for Asiu. Mostly because Asiu was her Alpha, and secondly she didn't know Shadow as well. Something she was planning on changing.
"I was a clan member before becoming a loner, there is a difference," Kestrel rolled her eyes. Well, based on her experience, not by much. This was a pup, what did she know? "Try it the other way, hun." Kestrel replied in a slightly gruff voice, annoyed at this wolf whom she still didn't trust.
"Does my Uncle attend these meetings?" The female asked. Kestrel's ears pricked up, and she looked over at the wolf, inspecting her carefully once again. She sniffed lightly, ears flicking towards another answer, "I don't know. Haven't been here in a while, so trying to get it through my head." Kestrel looked over at the owner of the voice and gave a smile, "Cal," she smiled, giving him a nod, "It's great to see you alive and well." Her attention returned to te female with narrowed eyes. She still didn't trust her... "No, he hasn't attended any meetings since the clans have begun again." She knew she was blatantly lieing, but she was hoping none of the wolves would call her on it. There was an edge to her words she hoped at least the other wolves would catch and not ruin things. So far no one else had said anything, but her lieing might just well pull unwanted attention towards the conversation.

Charlie's ears flattened against her head, trying to block out the bickering between two females. She lowered her head onto her front legs, glaring at the black one's paws with an annoyed expression on her face. "No, he hasn't attended any meeting since the clans have begun again." She knew the wolf was lieing, but she didn't really care, instead she looked up, sending the two peircing glares, "That's great, now do you two mind either taking your bickering elsewhere or just shutting your trap?" She asked in a growl.
Charlie felt bad for acting so rude, but she was becoming agitated. Cherokee hadn't been seen by her for quite a while, and it was starting to unnerve her. She dearly missed the old fella, and wished he were here right now to guid her somehow. She looked up to the clear night sky, trying to read the bright stars dappling the skies. A tear trickled from her blue eye, 'Where are you Cherokee?'[/i]
Almost as if the universe were answering her prayers, Cherokee came lumbering into the clearing. Her ears picked him up before her eyes did, but she recegnized that sound anywhere. Standing up suddenly to welcome her friend, Charlie grinned, her tail wagging furiously. "I see you've come with a little reminder of last time... Prehaps now you'll take the advice of this old geezer a little more serious next time around, huh?" She shrunk back down to the ground, lowering her eyes to the ground, ashamed of herself. A gently paw at her ear, though, had her looking up, and she saw he forgived her. A large grin came across her muzzel, "I thought I'd already lectured you about this before... No matter what condition, you're still alive and should be a little more careful about how you swing that health."
"Forgive me, Cherokee," She laughed, noticing how he'd looked at her paw, and pulled it out of veiw. "I'd missed you so much," She whispered, an adoration in her eyes. He was like her teacher, as well as her best friend, and nothing could ever change that. Grinning and, despite the ache in her bones, she tackled the old male to the ground, giving him a lick on the cheek. Her tail had re-commenced wagging again, and she got off of him, a large grin on her features.

Having been tackled down out of affection from the hyper female, he rose himself up with as much pride as possible to keep the flush on his face from showing after such a public show of friendliness. "Very well... You are forgiven." Giving up on his standing position used to lecture her, he comfortably curled up into more of a ball at her side while deciding to look over the rest of the meeting's members. "I can tell there's a pretty tense atmosphere around those young ladies over there. Don't need spirits to read it either! But, I guess if it's over a male, I could understand their problems." Puffing out his chest in a bit of a proud way, he winked at his company humorously while going over his golden years about driving young females wild and challanging other males for their hearts. "Yep. It wasn't all that long ago since I was one of those wild bucks who worried about nothing more than meeting the next pretty girl... Though it's not as if I every lost my charm anyway!"

Tyche sighed not bothering to respond to Kestrel. The female was as useful as she was going to be considering she'd just told her that this was going to be a waste of time. Besides the first female she was talking to seemed to have an attitude with her and she didn't want to push her luck.
Instead she decided to sit back and focus on the new wolves coming in as well as thier names. She would be in the area for a while and although Niko might not be here she could still make this a useful outing.

Deciding that the feel of the conversation between the two females was becoming a little more serious than his liking, he settled with simply sitting nearby in case his rank duties needed to be used to help calm things down since one of the wolves was part of his pack. "Not much... Just as aggressive as always..." Stealing a glance down at his new company, he released a sigh while relaxing back into her while still keeping up a bit of a straight front since there was some bickering going on. "I'm happy to see you... Was beginning to think you wouldn't show..."

Glancing down at Nokida he grinned warmly at her comment. Looking around the gathering he didn't see much happening or beginning to happen. Rolling over, Shadow gently moved Nokida off of him so that he could stand. He watched the little groups chatting and arguing wishing that something might happen to liven this place up. Everything had slowed down to a terrible crawl. Twitching his ears he listened intently for a moment. he heard a faint sound like ice scraping against steel in the distance, or maybe in his head. He couldn't tell anymore these days what was real and what wasn't.
Hawkeye. The name came to the forefront of his thoughts. Now he was a wolf who knew how to liven up a slow meeting. And even if he couldn't he still provided amusing conversation. He thought back to his former "Alpha" and friend with a small chuckle. He hadn't seen him in a long time, if he was even still alive. Shadow's chuckle died and his grin slowly faded. What had become of his friends? Hawkeye was gone, Luna and the other old Alphas. He even missed Hawk's obnoxious brother Arcanine as hard as that was to believe. So many memories... Perhaps the news of their disappearances hadn't truly hit home with him until recently.
With a heavy sigh He sat back on his haunches and allowed his eyes to pass over the new faces. He wasn't fond of social interaction with new wolves. Mentally shrugging, Shadow looked over at the sleeping form of Nokida. "At least I haven't lost everything" He whispered to himself. He scanned the crowd once more, this time searching for faces he knew. His Old friends were gone, But perhaps new friends could be made. His eyes settled on the old wolf he met in the catacombs during his first meeting with the demon Alpha Freya. He supposed he could get to know him better shortly. After all he seemed like an interesting character, and if not he wouldn't have to deal with the old wolf for very long.

Nokida sighed in her sleep before opening one eye slowly "Shadow...." she said slowly stting up and moving to his side and moving her face so her muzzle was close to his ear "shadow...um....I..." she said softly her ears pinning back and her eyes because nervous and she shifted back and fourth on her haunches.

Shadow's ears perked up as Nokida stirred and whispered in his ear. Turning back to her with a kind look he cocked his head slightly to the left in a confused way. "Yes love? What do you need?" His voice was calm and soothing as his silver-grey eyes looked her over. Whatever this was about, it made her nervous. He could tell by how she shifted her weight back and forth and flattened her ears. He also noted how shaky her voice was. Raising his eyebrow in a concerned manner he tried to make her look him in the eye. "What's troubling you?" He said in a cool and controlled voice. He nuzzled her in a soft reassuring way before listening for her response.

Nokida sighed gently leaning closer still to her beloved mate "um....I'm in heat..." she spoke quietly as if it was a secret that no one should evr be told "I...want Pups Shadow" she said slowly dipping her head in embarassment.
