Other's were still arriving and those already present were figgity, wanting to get the meeting to get started a day ago. Sighing to himself, he just kept repeating how some are just so impatient nowadays. As the new male loner asked his question, Oki wasn't sure how to answer. Though before he could actually say something, the female loner spoke up. Eyes narrowing, he wondered how she knew and was already starting to dislike her for her recent actions towards his Alpha. He saw how she treated him and how she glared at him from her spot.
After Grizz had elaborated more about the meeting and began to give a status report about the Galaxy lands, Oki tried to think if there was anything else. He did think of some minute details, but saying them would make him sound redundant to what Grizz already said. Nodding in acknowledgement, he looked at his Alpha then at everyone else, waiting for their turn to begin. At this pause, his mate Ryleigh had finally joined their meeting. Just thinking about her a few moments ago, he was glad she was here. A little late, but she made it nonetheless. He looked over at her as she neared him and smiled. After her formalities, she came to sit next to him and he returned her affections by poking his nose into her neck. He felt the curl of her tail around one of his and he did the same back to hers. Without much time after, he saw out of the corner of his eye, her lips rise in almost a threatening way and he was confused. He wanted to ask what was wrong, but the female loner added her own snippy remark. Scowling, he shot a glare of his own at her, not for what she said only to his mate, but about her complaints and how she said them. After Grizzly sat back down, he leaned over to Ry and whispered into only her ear, "Be careful hun, don't get upset...everything's going to be alright", he finished with his nose brushing against her ear as he pulled away and turned his attention to another male entering the vicinity. Appearing to ignore everything around him, he understood very well that this was a Peace Gathering and started his report quickly. Not sounding too different from their status, he nodded, "As am I", Oki added in after Grizz had spoken.
Before Caliban had a chance to state the Demon Pack's status, the other male that had gathered gave his response towards the matter with Ryleigh. "Yea, she'd better not be", he spoke within his mind, relieved a little. Though by this time, Caliban began his statement. Not focusing on the Packs status mainly, what he did focus on was the female loner he called Aisu. Apparently she had a history with most who sat here, as they all responded to her differently; some withdrawn, angered, and even resentment. The way she acted towards everyone was already enough to put her on his bad side. He listened to what Caliban said and heeded it well, never planning on resolving anything with violence, however, what was said after cracked his shell of self-containment just a little, but enough to state his mind. When Aisu had referred to his mate another time in a condescending way, a deeper scowl darkened his features. Rising to his feet, he quietly excused his behavior in advance to both Ry and Grizz and turned towards the female. All three tails were lifted and his wings raised a little, but didn't unfold. Eyes have changed momentarily from their friendly deep blue to a piercing crimson red with slits for pupils, giving her a glare of digust.
"Who in the dark depths of Hell sent you here? Are you trying to cause conflict?... Aye, this is a Peace Gathering and you aren't helping the 'Peace' part of it much. Things are already tense enough without your two-sense. And I'm still trying to fathom the great authority of that of a loner has over a pack geared gathering. I have no idea what you were in the past, but you can't throw whatever authority you had around now as you have none. I don't think the traditions allow you to do so... Aye, you can if you wish to voice your opinions, but that doesn't mean you can waltz in and bring up former spats just to create hostility. You have no right in ridiculing any of us nor condemning our families*. I have no power over what you say, but you'd better be damn well alone in a deep hole when you spit such filth about my mate...", his voice was stern, a little agitated, however sincere. He was being more defensive than anything and he hoped that others saw that rather than him trying to be violent himself. After finishing, he tried to calm himself as adrenaline had sped his heartbeat momentarily. Settling back into his spot, he didn't care to look at her anymore, but said this in a much more calm tone, "Please leave and allow us who want to go about this civilly, continue this meeting." [/blockquote] *When he says families, he's referring to the individual packs, as he views, for example, the Galaxy as his family

Bram wished from the bottom of his heart that he hadn't opened his mouth and that he'd stayed put on the edge of the clearing as the drama started to unfold. He had been content to stand aside and simply watch, but his agitation and his anxiety perked a couple levels making the loner tense. From the winged male wolf who hung around the dark one-Cal? to the other pack wolves it was starting to get on his nerves.
Even Aisu joined in the conversation with rough comments after Cal's statement about tradition and sacred grounds. Is this really how the Peace Gatherings were conducted? Bram could almost hear his fathers distaste for group interaction like this and he began to understand why his father hated clans. There was nothing peaceful about this because no one collectively held charge. Not even the alpha's because as Bram could see they were competing amongst the other wolves itself. There was no referee to control the situation.
Bram's personality squirmed with one of the males zeroed in on Aisu. It was that female's mate and a pack member and the male squared himself against Aisu bringing up his wings. From his own winged mother Bram quickly realized what the gesture meant and found his own fustrations getting the best of him. Especially when the male spoke out about this meeting being geared by packs and speaking of loners in such a manner. Feeling threatened himself Bram spoke up and allowed at all the members.
"Your mate started the issue first," Bram sided with Aisu, "Nothing is more threatening then baring your teeth at another wolf and you know that." Bram cocked his head towards the newest female, Rayleigh. "Whatever issue Aisu has with Grizz is between her and Grizz alone and he doesn't seem to have a problem with it." Bram guessed at this male's alpha's name.
"And a Peace Gathering sounds like its supposed to be a chance to level the playing field for all wolves-Pack wolves to talk on the same status as their alpha and loners to talk with the same status as a pack member," Bram stopped his rant realizing his position. He had no friends here and was speaking openly so the young wolf swallowed. "And...and I know that I'm new to the lands and to your traditions, but there is no rank difference between a loner and a wolf of any status. If I came onto your lands I would expect a confrontation ultimately with your alpha before your pack. I would speak to your alpha before I spoke with your pack because I am a loner and I don't answer to anyone but myself. Your authority is only numbers," Bram could almost hear his father in his head, "so I don't consider myself of lower rank than you. I don't see a difference between me or your alpha. I am my own alpha."
Bram stood straight staring the threatening male down with a look on his own. "Aisu may be a little harsh and she might have crossed boundaries, but I don't see any difference between what she did and what you are doing now. Your reasons are completely selfish yourself-selfish for your mate. You can't order someone out of a meeting like this." He glanced towards Cal who seemed to be the only sensible wolf here with any knowledge of the lands tradition. "Don't you have an agreed upon appointed wolf or system to regulate and help enforce the rules at these meetings? All I'm seeing is a bunch of independent structures clashing because of the lack of a unbiased party to simply enforce law. I might not have ever been a part of a pack, but I do know that packs can't exist without a head and neither can this meeting because well....we're all sort of a pack with each other right now... while we're here."

Aisu was about to turn tail and leave until Grizzly's Beta spoke up and she scowled in disgust at his words. Who did he think he was talking to her like that? She was the daughter of Ocarina, Alpha of Thunder and Minkota, Beta of Fire. He had no right to speak to her like that. "Aisu, lets get out of here and live a long life, huh?" Amadeus whispered into her ear as he tried to tug onto the snarling female who was about rip those pretty little wings off of Okamiimaru.
The female stood stiffly, her back straight, spine slightly showing and as she breathed one could see the skin crawl across her form. She stood with grace, power, and bitter rage. Yet she regarded the male who spoke to her and swallowed the urge to laugh.
"Who the hell do you think you are to speak to me like that?" she growled fiercely her eyes sharp as she glared at him. "You may be of higher rank than me in regard to packs but I am the one who has been here since the beginning. You have no right to ask me to leave as, Tradition states any member of the Gathering may leave when they please. Your mate started all of this when she threatened a Demon for no reason, I was just merely stating facts."
She smirked bitterly but the rage inside her still swelled and she could feel the white heat rise inside her belly. How could Grizzly stand to hear his Beta insult her? Aisu didn't want his chivalrous tendencies however, she could save herself and it really would just be easier to leave. She always could hold a grudge though.
"You're new around here, so you obviously don't know the rules. Gatherings have never been ruled by the packs alone, we have always come together to speak of matters involving the lands and our packs. I have stated my opinion, I tried to help your mate by warning her and you cannot order me around."
Her eyes flashed white as she snarled out her last warning "The Gathering hasn't been a civil meeting since you and your mate opened your mouths. If anyone should leave, you should." She hissed still angered that he had spoken to her like that. "If I were on pack lands it would be different, yet you still would not have authority to order me. The only one I speak to is an Alpha in that case." she stated finally cooling her rage somewhat as she remembered that she was still on sacred grounds.
Aisu felt her heart swell a little when the younger male loner defended her. She smiled at the memory of his father, Niko, defending her against Freya in a Gathering. He was a lot like him especially in the way that he spoke and when he trailed off from realization of his position the female nudged him slightly to continue. No one would harm anyone on these lands, that was Law. The female only listened to the younger and didn't realize that the Beta had addressed the matter of Grizzly and herself until Bram spoke of it.
"As Bram stated, whatever is between your Alpha and I is none of your concern," she paused to glance at the named Alpha and felt a little angered at herself for not addressing him by name but he wasn't anything important to her anymore. "As far as the one who's a 'referee' in these things, usually it's the wolf with the most earned respect. Usually the Gatherings aren't like this, and Lu-" Aisu stopped when she realized she was about to speak of her former Alpha and her ears flattened sadly. Luna wasn't here anymore.
She sighed "Luna, a great Alpha from moons ago would always enforce the laws. Now the Galaxy would seem to have the authority when it comes to Gatherings, as far as enforcing the laws go...or at least they used to." Her hate was evident in her voice as she sneered the last of her mocking comebacks, she would always hold a piece of betrayed rage in her heart for Grizzly for taking her position but this wasn't the place to voice them.
"Again, I'll ask, is there anything else we'll discuss before the moon is completely gone from the sky?"

Ryleigh had heard enough about the arguing. She felt it bullshit that the others could size each other up but the minute she made a similar jester the other female present jumped down her throat. Ryleigh scoffed in disgust after hearing Aisu speak yet again. Ryleigh hadn't meant for things to get so out of hand over a simple gesture. "Don't call me pinky you color blind witch. Last i checked my gesture wasn't made toward you and i sure as hell don't need you pointing out things that have nothing to do with you. I didn't even make a sound. I'm capable of understanding what i did. It's alright for all the males to size each other up but the minute a female does something similar you have to blow it out of proportion. Thank you for your observations and your advice is duly noted. Now if we all have our egos out of the way i think its time we talk. That is after all what we are here for, whether we belong to a pack or not we all exist here together." Ryleigh sent another brief glare to the female. She had drug things in a direction they did not need to go in and Ryleigh just wanted to get this meeting going. All Ryleigh had meant to do was show she didn't want to be pushed around.

Grizzly began to relax after it seemed his Peacekeeper had calmed down and was surprised when the Demon Pack Beta agreed with his call for order. Though he didn't allow his approval to show outwardly, he felt a little less malice for this wolf than other members of his pack. When he heard Aisu raise her voice again to complain, he intended to continue his passive campaign. Though, personally, he was taken back a bit when she looked his way when mentioning mating rituals.
Before he got a chance to respond to her inquiry, his Beta intervened and requested that she leave the area. Grizzly was split between appreciating the male defending his pack and outrage over the disrespect he displayed during the Gathering. He looked on as the younger loner came to Aisu's defense and commented on their previous relationship, amoung other subjects. His patience was beginning to waver with the constant attention being showered on his association with Aisu.
Listening in as she came to her own defense, Grizzly rose to his full height again only this time openly annoyed. First, he scolded his Beta in the same manner he had his mate with a stern, but familiar tone. "Oki... You need to control your temper. They are correct in their assumption that Ry brought this hostility on herself, but you don't have to feed it anymore. Please refrain from any further outbursts, the both of you." Next, he turned directly towards the two loner and stared down the loner male with the same stern look. However, he said nothing because he was in the right to defend Aisu from his packmate's comments.
Thus, he turned his gaze fully on his former mate and addressed her directly for the first time since the start of the Gathering. "My apologies. You are, indeed, entitled to speak your mind on whatever topic comes up among the packs. I remember Luna's example just as fondly as you do, Aisu, and I do reserve the right to help enforce said peace. Unfortunately, that means I must request it from you, as well." Lowering his gaze abit to hide the unsteady emotions raising in them, Grizzly gathered the courage he needed to assert his authority in front of her. "This meeting is getting side tracked because of all these harsh comments, including yours. I'll save you some time and mention that they won't get a raise out of me, but they must stop. In regards to any other matters, if you wish to share anything about mating rituals, then be my guest."

Aisu ignored the red female otherwise she would have gone 'white' as Amadeus kindly put it and blown her internal organs to smithereens. Instead she turned her attention to the Alpha in front of her, the real reason behind all her bitterness and her attitude clearly showed it. When he reached his full height the female realized just how small she was compared to the others and she barred her teeth in a hope that she wouldn't flatten her ears at his words.
"If you would keep your pack in line then none of this would have happened. I was never trying to get a rise out of you either." she shot his apology down with another snide remark but was grateful that he at least apologized. When he mentioned her talking about other matters, namely mating rituals her lips curved upwards into a pointed smile.
"Want to talk about mating, Grizzer?" she lustfully grinned up at him and she knew that this voice, these words weren't her own, at least that she would openly admit. Her boney body curled around him and slinked beneath his chin "Maybe I could just show you, hm? You were never brave enough to start the act anyway." she smirked.
"Aisu, stop this! This isn't you, come back Aisu..." Amadeus cooed to the female knowing that it was her own demons haunting her and twisting the words. She shrugged off the bird and snarled 'Don't listen, don't listen they just want to ruin you, dear. They don't love you like we do.' the voices whispered and hissed and she shook her head to try and get rid of them. They stopped momentarily and Aisu looked back up at the Alpha and blushed slightly when she realized the position, how did she get like this?
Brushing it off she uncurled herself from him and stood in front of him. "Alright, you want to talk about mating rituals? Then why don't you tell me why you've been ignoring me? Why you left me and the pack when we needed you most. And why did you steal my rank? Damnit Grizzly." she snarled at the pain that welled in her chest and knew that the Gathering wasn't the best place to voice their years old relationship problems but he asked for it.

Caliban watched in amusement. It seemed that with all this chaos going on, that maybe thier mission could be accomplished. He zeroed in on the loner male, fixing him as his target after the meeting. It would be a start.
He turned his attention back to Aisu and Grizzley. Taking the initiative that Luna always had and that the little male talked about, he got up from his spot and walked over to them both. Moving swiftly, he put himself between them, towering over little Aisu and standing slightly taller than Grizzley. "Alright pups. This is going to stop. You can talk about your relationships later, in support group. Right now, we are going to conduct this meeting like Luna and our ancestors would. If the present Alpha will not do it, then I will. We have seen how the packs' and loners' lands are and the numbers. Let us get to other business. Numbers are a problem for all of us. Here is proposition for you all to think about. Join our packs and answer to one Alpha Male and Female. Our numbers would rise and we would be more powerful all around. The humans would not be able to hunt us down, but us hunt them! We could claim back what is ours. And Freya can lead us to do it. We want no more bloodshed than what has already been but we will do what we must. Join us. Be part of our ranks and family." he said, making eye contact with everyone except his own pack members. He pushed against Grizzley and then Aisu to get them to seperate the two little ones he had seen grow up. "You two need to get over yourselves and work this out with each other away from others." he glared at them both.

Kai wasn't interested in petty disputes as the wolves went back and forth amongst themselves. Petty little things that they were he could not understand their fascination with this needless drama. The adolescent loner speaking up was shocking, but Kai could see through that in any minute. The coward was shaking in his boots making Kai snort.
He was content to stay out of it until Caliban walked out amongst the group and propositioned the other other wolves. It was, to Kai, an unconventional method, but the male was curious to see how it would go. "It would offer protection in numbers and would be very beneficial to your health." Kai's voice was sarcastic, if they heard the threat then he was fine with that.

It was difficult not to say more as the female still has yet to shut her muzzle about all this. He wanted to dismiss it as seeing arguing any more would be pointless as much as the loner female staying any longer. All's he could do what shake his head repeatedly at what she said, saying things that he didn't do or say or even want. Everyone was becoming immature about this as he just wanted everything to stop. He wanted to say that Ry did nothing but sneer at one of the Demon Pack members, which he thinks isn't such a wrong thing to do. As Ryleigh herself would later mention, it seems everyone has a problem with her sizing other ones up while everyone else can shoot their icy glares at each other as much as they want and make their snide remarks. And since when was he ordering anyone around, he made simple requests that didn't have to be followed, which he knew weren't going to be anyway. Tails thumping against the ground, Aisu's sound bites were finally at an end. Of course it wasn't his concern; he didn't care about their relations nor didn't he want to know, he was just getting tired of hearing about it and hearing her voice babble nonsense.
Having ignored her, he glanced at the lone male as he started to voice all these knowledgeable propositions. Since when did he get so smart and wise? And why was everyone ridiculing everyone else? Sure, Oki said some things, but they were out of defense and on the grounds of her annoyance to him; he wasn't trying to sound more authoritative nor on a higher level than anyone else. He saw that this was a peace gathering and he tried to quell his temper, remembering that. And then he goes on saying he ordered her around, again. And was there even a such a thing as being selfish for someone else? Last time he knew it to be called as defending another because it hurt him as well as hurt her to hear such words. He was glad Ryleigh said something because he agreed to what she said, but it had seemed anyway no one heard what either him or Ry had said, ignored it and accused the both of them for doing something so heinous. Happy she dismissed the whole thing, he decided to as well, but he will always keep his opinions about those who have acted this way towards him and Ryleigh forever.
Looking Grizz back as he then reprimanded him and Ry, he quietly spoke back, "I plan not to", he supposed his apology in advance wasn't enough to Grizzly. Not wanting to submit to more immature quarreling, it was hard not to respond to anything that happened between Grizz and Aisu. Oki didn't know what to think about his Alpha. He seemed so flaky and it seemed to be because Aisu was present or perhaps something else? Nonetheless, he would act one way then say the next or vise versa.
At lease Caliban had a point about the loners joining ranks with a pack rather than by themselves. Some present needed to get off their pedestal and swallow their pride and accept that everyone was weak as they were split up. They all had one common enemy and allying with each other to fight against them would be better than quarreling amongst themselves. Lowering his head, Oki closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, trying to calm his thoughts. "Caliban has a point; we all despise the humans for their views of us, no? Separation makes anyone weak. Those who don't have a place to call home, and that is if they are willing to shelve their pride, the packs are more than willing to provide them with one. I mean, isn't that what a pack is for?", he asked everyone, having a much calmer tone, on the decline from his agitated state. [/blockquote]

Ebony watched silently from beside Kai as the meeting turned from a gathering for peace to a very public display of drama. Her previous notions about the wolves in this area were reconfirmed as they all seemed eager to jump in at the first sign of a fight or confront each other with past business. She felt lost amongst this rowdy bunch and looked around uncomfortable for a sign of their Alpha, who she was sure could organize the group better.
Alas, she caught no sign of her leaders arrival and slumped back down into her submissive position in hopes of not being noticed. All the attention seemed to be on the Galaxy Alpha and the female loner anyway, so she took solace in the fact that she probably wouldn't be called on. However, her attention was grabbed when she watched her Beta step in between the quarreling couple and suggest they talk about the loners joining their packs.
This suggestion made her nervous again because most of the loners seemed especially hostile towards the pack wolves. Ebony kept her voice down, though, since she figured whatever objections she had would be void in the long run. Once she took notice of the possible members, she settled on the idea that the younger male might be easier to get along with rather than the excited female.

Bram felt sorry for Aisu as she responded to Grizzly. He wasn't sure what had happened between the two, but he knew from experience the feeling of losing someone when you needed them the most. Of course, Grizzly didn't look that bad either and he was now the alpha of Aisu's pack? He might have his reasons.
The young wolf drew back looking around and finally understanding himself as Cal stepped forward and made his proposition with the other demon and Galaxy member. They were all pack members and wanted him to forsake the loner way of life and join a pack for safety in numbers.
Bram's tail twitched in agitation and he closed his eyes for a moment again revealing his adolescent age by hiding from the situation. These were older wolves who had seen and experienced more in life then Bram. They were smarter and wiser with age making him nervous again.
He'd grown up with a family and had numbers, but Niko and Featherstream was gone. And Lal wasn't even here. Bram shifted back lightly glancing at Grizzly, Cal and the other pack members. Even Aisu was a pack member at one time. Bram could almost hear his father and wished that Niko was there, but it helped him make up his mind.
"No," Bram shook his head, "I'm not giving up my sovereignty and bowing down to wolves who can't even perform a simple Peace Gathering." Bram squared his smaller shoulders and stared at Caliban, "The loner lands were made for wolves to live like they were meant to live. I wasn't born to follow anyone, but mother earth. My father was right when it came to packs." Bram backed up and glanced down noticing the dead grass where he had been standing and swallowed, it was to dangerous for him to be around other wolves for long anyway. He hadn't even realized he'd used his power again.
"I'm not joining your pack," Bram stared at Caliban and then the Galaxy pack member. "So don't bother seeking me out." Bram turned around and started to walk away.

Caliban smiled at Bram before saying, "I know exactly how Niko was when he was alive. He was like a father to me too, and taught me the loner ways. But wouldn't you like to have help with your power Bram? We could give that to you. And I can help you learn some about your dad. He was the one who taught me." He watched for the reaction that was sure to come.

Aisu snarled as Caliban once again reprehended her and started on a different matter, one about packs. For a moment she thought she heard wrong until Okamiimaru supported the Demon Beta's decision. The female shook her head taken aback by the question and scowled as she felt a sick urge to accept the offer, remembering that she had always been apart of a pack. Being a loner was new to her and yet it felt a little more welcoming than being part of a pack again, she could do whatever she wanted and even though she could hardly provide food for herself Aisu at least had her freedom.
She was always a shy timid pup and answered orders without so much as a yip of disobedience. And oh, how she longed to have a secured shelter, somewhere warm she could go to and others to confide in--not that she had that much confidence in the Demon pack in those categories save for a shelter. Aisu thought about it and weighted the options carefully. Go with the Demons and live a good life, stay a loner and probably die. Follow Freya forever and shame her family, or keep her freedom and live up to her parent's standards to the best of her abilities.
Honestly, if she wanted to join a pack so badly she could have persuaded Grizzly to let her in and then take the pack back. "Why would we ever even consider joining the Demon Pack? After all you put us through?" she glared harshly, Aisu may want to join a pack but she didn't forget everything that Freya and her minions put her through--as well as others. She listened to Bram and for once actually understood what his father had been talking about when it came to Packs, and when Caliban tried to manipulate the younger into joining by talking about his father Aisu growled and felt the heat in her belly rise.
Caliban really was a Demon after all. "He made up his mind. Leave it be, and so far considering he's still alive I say that he's doing a pretty good job as a Loner. No one needs your Pack's help." she snarled wondering why she was even defending the pup, but deep down inside she knew it was because his mother had once been apart of her pack and that she had told her that she would help them no matter what. "Numbers, humans or whatever. Loners have been doing fine for centuries, you of all wolves should know that."

Things always came out of hand at peace gatherings, Frey thought to himself and could never understand why. The male was never the one to over react at petty quarrels or even try to understand the lives of others when it didn't involve him. Why should he? He just knew that it would create more tension or he would learn things he didn't need to know. Saying this however, may make him sound cynical and insensitive, but that's not true. He does care about the well being of others, especially his pack and he really didn't want anything to happen between the other two. Frey just doesn't like to dig his snout into another's affair, like between Aisu and Grizzly for example.
All the while, he just sat by, almost like a statue while the others bickered on about their issues. Every once in a while he could feel his eyes roll at what some things were said. That would be the only reaction he gave to all of this. When the Galaxy Beta agreed to the Demon Beta, Frey could see their reasoning and he himself would rather prefer life with a pack than all alone. Though he could speak for himself, he can't for the loners. He didn't know their story or how they felt about packs or being alone. Perhaps they liked it in solitude or just had a bad experience. Reflecting upon the one called Aisu's response, yes loners have been doing fine since the beginning of time, but that doesn't mean better than wolves who lived together in a pack. Again, he just thought being surrounded by one's who cared for you is what protected you the most, especially in times of need. Relying on one's self didn't have that perk.
"The offer is still there...nonetheless", he decided to get off the topic before it got too heated like the previous one. He figured anyone couldn't be persuaded anymore, "Now onto a more pressing issue...I saw something out on the water near the shores of our borders and between, I believe the Galaxy's. It was a large object that floated on the water and it was operated by humans. They seem to use it to get to our island. I didn't see much else other than that they brought some of their supplies on land. I have no idea what they're doing but I thought that it would be something we shall discuss together." Amethyst eyes looked at the others, hoping that they would forget their petty issues and pay more attention to one that potentially endangered all of them collectively. [/blockquote]

Bram stopped and swung around to look at Cal with narrowed and scared eyes. He had hoped his weakness had gone unnoticed, but the loner could see that there was no chance of that. Cal was observant and if what he said about his dad was true than he was also a friend of his fathers.
"No," Bram thought, "He's not calling himself a friend. He's calling himself a son." Bram didn't know how to feel about that. A part of him wanted to yell back at Caliban and demand to know just what his relationship had been with Niko. If he was that close than how come his father had never mentioned the black wolf or why hadn't Bram seen him before.
Bram listened as Aisu defended him and stared at her and then the next wolf to talk, but his eyes kept going back to Cal. He wanted information and wanted to know just who this Cal was-and if he was genuine about helping him. Bram backed up and kept contact with the older wolf, "Not here. We can discuss this matter some other time, Cal." Bram used his name and turned around walking away from the gathering for good without giving Cal a yes or no.
